Pravasi and Shramik Sahyog Foundation is INDIA – based (Mumbai) non-profit social and legal assistance organization dedicated to the welfare, protection, guidance, and empowerment of Indian migrant workers, overseas Indians, Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), and their families. The Foundation is committed to promoting safe migration, protecting the dignity of migrant workers, and facilitating access to appropriate legal and administrative support for individuals facing difficulties related to overseas employment.
Every year, thousands of Indian citizens leave the country in search of better employment opportunities and an improved quality of life. While many achieve success abroad, a significant number become victims of fraudulent recruitment practices, contract substitution, passport confiscation, non-payment of wages, labour exploitation, human trafficking, unsafe working conditions, unlawful detention, and various forms of abuse. These situations often leave migrant workers and their families vulnerable, distressed, and uncertain about where to seek assistance.
Recognizing these challenges, Pravasi and Shramik Sahyog Foundation was established to serve as a reliable source of guidance, support, and coordination for Indian migrant workers and their families. Guided by the principles of humanity, justice, dignity, integrity, and social responsibility, the Foundation strives to ensure that no Indian migrant is left without access to information, assistance, or appropriate channels of support.
